Dismantled are playing one of the coolest venues in the Midwest, The Warehouse in La Crosse, next Thursday, April 19.
Tickets are only $10 and The Warehouse is All Ages all the time, which means the show will be done early enough to make the drive back to the Twin Cities at a somewhat reasonable hour. If you’ve never been to The Warehouse, it’s like a rock n roll museum. Just about everyone has played The Warehouse in it’s 21 year history and old gig posters and stickers are plastered all over the walls, ceilings, and doors. It’s worth the trip to see a show here.
Don’t forget – Front Line Assembly play tomorrow night, Sunday (May 29), at Ground Zero. I’m actually writing this report from the road, as I’m in Milwaukee for tonight’s Front Line Assembly date. I leave for the Miramar Theater in a few short hours for the VIP meet and greet and I’ll try and post a quick note to Facebook and Twitter when I get back with a preview of what’s in store for everyone on Sunday. This is a fantastic lineup from top to bottom with lots of noisy, heavy industrial goodness. If you want to save a few bucks and get through the line quicker, head over to Brown Paper Tickets to purchase your tickets ahead. Will call, print at home and mobile phone tickets are still available.
Make sure you get there early for DJ? Acucrack and Cyanotic! Here’s some really great footage of Cyanotic live in Pittsburgh last year.
Memorial Day weekend brings us one of the biggest shows of the year on May 29 – Front Line Assembly. They’ll be joined by Dismantled, Cyanotic and DJ? Acucrack. It’s been 4 years since Front Line Assembly last travelled to the Twin Cities and we’re extremely excited to have them back. Dismantled have stepped in for Die Krupps, who unfortunately ran into visa troubles. Check out this live video to see what’s in store from Dismantled:
And here’s a great video of FLA live in 2007:
For more videos, there’s a playlist featuring upcoming Kilted Farmer shows over at YouTube.
Kilted Farmer is also putting on the Milwaukee Freezepop / The Echoing Green show on June 8 at The Miramar Theater, one of Milwaukee’s premier music venues with an in the round setup and excellent sound. Milwaukee natives Somegirl, who you may remember as openers for the Legends of Synthpop date, and Bradley are supporting Freezepop and The Echoing Green in Milwaukee. So if you like beer, brats and synthpop, definitely head east on I-94 for a second night in a row of great live music.
And don’t forget! Goth Prom, the biggest dark/goth/industrial night of the year is coming up on Monday, May 23 at The Saloon. The Kilted Farmer team will be represented well and we hope to see you there!
